The most STRESSFUL week EVER!!!

We put our house on the market!!!!

The most STRESSFUL week EVER!!!

I know I know it really shouldn’t be that stressful and really I could think of weeks that were worse than this one.  {but for real this was bad}  My face broke out, I had a fever blister the size of a quarter, and I seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack!!!!  I couldn’t eat or sleep.  I felt so vulnerable having random people in my house and not knowing where we were going to live.

But here’s the reason why we did it!!!

Most of you know my dad passed away almost two years ago. He left behind a twin brother.  Uncle D. is the BEST!!! I love him with all my heart.

The most STRESSFUL week EVER!!!

He would die if I put his picture up so you can just see him from the back doing what he does best…Decorating trees 🙂

Anyhow  he lived next to my dad in Huntsville and so when dad passed I said he could move in with us.  He said no but the offer has always been on the table.

Last week…. he said he was ready and I found the ” perfect” house.  It had enough room for us all and Uncle D. had his own “house” over the garage.  We moved fast and furious.  Putting our house on the market and making an offer on the house we wanted.  Unfortunately, after a few back and forth offers they took the house off the market.  WHAT!!! :/

Mean while we had showings and had to leave the house and make sure it’s clean…  And then what do you do with the dog??  It was a mess.  Not to mention you have people give you feed back on your house.  AHH

Now remember this was sudden and I did NOT decluttered.

The most STRESSFUL week EVER!!!

Should have taken these doors off and pictures down…  But the doors are  a pain to put back up if we didn’t  end up moving.

I had already put up Christmas and was not going to take it down.

The most STRESSFUL week EVER!!!

Oh and there is another tree upstairs.  🙂

I also have furniture everywhere….

The most STRESSFUL week EVER!!!

See what I mean!!!!  🙂

We didn’t do this right at all but whatever…

Anyhow a day later we found another house just as “perfect” !! We make an offer and…. it’s a relocation.  BUMMER  for those of you who don’t know they are a pain in the bottom.  The company is super strict and we didn’t feel comfortable with the options they gave us.  So that one too was a no go.

Long story short we are most likely taking the house off the market for now.  Uncle D. will move in here and we will figure it all out later. For now I need to enjoy the holiday’s with the family… Fever blister free!!!

The most STRESSFUL week EVER!!!

Have you ever done this.  Tips please for the future!!! 🙂

    Cecily,
You crack me up!!! Buying and sell a home is stressful for sure!!!! your house is amazing! God is just stretching you to new areas that are out of your comfort zone. You of all people can do this. You have had the strength and courage to deal w much worse!!! When the time is right it will all fall into place. After the holidays will be better.

Awwww, D is coming to live with you. Hello, D!

I sympathize with you. Erin just when through all this, but her house sold fairly quick. Now she’s living in a teeny tiny place, with three kids, husband and two dogs, driving endless miles to keep the kids in their current school and trying to figure out what to do next.

    Good luck

LOL that may be me too. Our house has only been on the market a week. Really it’s ok I know it will be fine. I just have never done this before. Learning it is no fun though!!
