Planting a “garden!”
Cam and Pawpaw were supposed to plant a garden last summer, but PawPaw passed away. So this year he asked if we could do it!
I decided we would go on adventure to Warrens Southern Garden!! I love that place! Don’t you? For real! I just want to read a book by the fish pond.
Anyhow, I will be totally honest with you…. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING!!! But being the totally laid back and not the type of mom to freak out 🙂 I played it cool and asked one of the kind ladies there for HELP!!
The sweet employee at Warrens was supper helpful. I explained we wanted something simple and easy to maintain. Mini Running Holm # 1 wanted tomatoes, and Mini Running Holm # 2 wanted strawberries,
so she suggested the strawberry planter. She told us to put the tomatoes in the middle and the strawberries on the bottom. This way we can start small and build on after we get used to having a “garden” Genius!!!!!! I tell you Genius!!!
She made it super easy on me and helped me pick out my supplies!
And I headed out with two happy campers!
As soon as we got home we started working!
Note to self…. Next time do it in the grass!!! 🙂
But they enjoyed cleaning it up with the water hose!
TaDa!!! These babies were fearfully and wonderfully made (planted)!!!
Now if we can remember to water them we will be good! I’ll let you know how that works out for us!
BTW if you live in town Warren’s Southern Garden has a neat little butterfly exhibit that I had to peal the kids from! Check it out if you can!
What do you do to plant a garden? Any suggestions? I would love to hear your ideas!
Have a great day and remember to SWEAT!
