Does any one else have issues…
Does any one else have issues getting your water in? I don’t during the day it’s while I’m running that gives me issues!!!
I can go, go, go and then all of a sudden I bottom out!
During the summer months this can be super dangerous.
Studies have shown that a fluid loss of even two percent of body weight will affect your circulatory functions and decrease performance levels.
It can just be so hard to remember we need to drink half our body weight in ounces of water daily.
Many of you know that if you follow a fairly regular diet and exercise routine your weight can be a good indicator in how dehydrated you are. This is one reason your weight changes daily.
If you weigh yourself before you go to workout and after chances are you will weigh less. This is because you have sweated out your fluids and your body has become dehydrated.
In ultra distance running events they have weigh stations set up throughout the course that are mandatory for runners to stop and weigh in. They are then required to hydrate themselves until they have regained their predetermined weight.
1. weigh yourself on a given day! This will help you determine how much you weigh normally.
2. Drink water and sports drinks to help hydrate you before exercising. This will cause your weight to go up but you will lose it during your workout.
3. Drink 3-6 ounces of water every 10 min during a workout. This is equivalent to about 2 gulps of water. Fluids work best cold because they empty from the stomach quicker. On most cases sports drinks are not necessary unless you workout for more than 90 min.
4. Start ASAP.
How about you?? Do you have trouble getting your water in?
Have a great day and remember to SWEAT!!!!! 🙂
