The entrance to my neighborhood has these beautiful and oh so yummy looking swiss chard planted out front. They call my name every time I run by them. I mean really would the entrance miss a few stalks here and there?
Every time I run out of greens all I can think about is going and grabbing a few. Don’t you think it beats going to the store? No lie my mind goes there several times a week. Then I think of the chemicals I see sprayed on them to keep them looking beautiful. Hmmm… On second thought I think I’ll stay with my co-op or maybe take up gardening!
Do you ever think about what chemicals you are eating? What is in this? Will it harm you? Should I feed my kids this? How is this fruit/veggie so pretty? I never really did but now that’s all I think about. What are your thoughts??
Recipe for Swiss Chard ( remember any green can be used in a smoothie)
1 large bunch of Chard
1 tbs coconut oil
1 tbs water
1 clove of garlic
Red pepper flakes to taste
Sauté it all up and eat!!!!!
