So….I ate it today!!!

So…. I ate it today!!!

And let me tell you it hurt.  I have been running forever and before I was sick I ran at a decent speed.  Since all my surgeries I have slowed down tremendously.

Anyhow today I was in a hurry to get my run in.  { we went out of town and I did NOT work out or eat well so I felt horrible}

 So....I ate it today!!!

I started my run great.  I was running with some major speed.  {for me at least}  The entire time I was thinking how great I felt and that I could pick up the pace a little.  So … I did.  Maybe not the best thing to do but I did it anyhow.  I reached mile four and my fun little Nike Running App said Great Job almost there you have completed 4 miles pace 8:10 per mile.  Well I was so stinking excited.  I haven’t ran that fast in years.  I had this super conversation going on in my head that went something like this.

Cecily way to go your back!!! I’m so proud of you.  See you can do this.  Your good keep it up.  Your AWESOME!!

And then I tripped on a stinkin pine cone and… I ate it.

So....I ate it today!!!

It hurt so  bad I cried, I laid there in shock, and then I puked.  Yup in that order.  Not sure if I threw up because of the pain, blood or the thought of ripping my favorite lulu shirt.  🙂  But I did freak out a bit.

Thankfully after what felt like  5 minutes I got up and ran the 2 miles back to the church.  I have to say I was proud of myself.   Hurt yes, but proud I finished.
